This week we have been looking at multiple topology errors on a Dugard Eco VMC with Siemens 828D control and Sinamics drives.
After confirming that all hardware was ok we discovered that the Control had lost the topology data for drive object 6 which was the 4th axis and all associated hardware (motor, drive, encoder and SMI module).
Using HMI startup and our Simatic field PG, we were able to reteach the control and configure the 4th axis. New backups made and machine running again.
At Control CNC Services Ltd, we offer a cost effective CNC machine prevention maintenance service to help keep your business up and running.
