This is a fault we see quite regularly on Siemens 828D and 840DSL systems, multiple drive errors including cyclic data transfer alarms and over-temperature alarms.
The common cause of these alarms is the SMI module failure on one of the servo motors.
Fortunately we keep these in stock and are able to supply them to our customers fully programmed to their motor’s serial number and ready to go.
They can be fitted in minutes without having to send your motor off to a repairers saving on excessive downtime and costs.
We are Siemens specialists and keep a large stock of hardware and are also invested in repairing Siemens hardware where we can, please contact us for further details.
