It can often be a struggle getting a tool setter to calibrate correctly and we have a lot of customers contacting us for assistance with this.
Our tried and tested method is using a 10mm ground bar in a collet, setup in tool management as a turning tool and measure it.
If it reads +5mm or thereabouts the calibration is good, anything more than a few microns difference then it probably needs calibration.
The parameters that are stored on tool setter calibration are found in GUD 6 in CNC ISO area under Parameters > Settings (the top 4 parameters shown in the picture below).
